Breakfast Smoothie

banana, strawberry, peach, orange juice, OJ, breakfast, smoothie

This is what I look forward to in the mornings! I’ve played around with different combinations for a while. But I think I’ve found my favorite – a trifecta of fruit you may say. Maybe it just suits my fancy because of the time of year it is or maybe I’m keen on the color right now. But whatever it is, this tastes so good. Its refreshing, filling, and easy on my first-thing-in-the-morning-tummy. Also, its easy to make – and thats important for a morning routine. I usually use frozen fruit because then I don’t have to fuss with adding ice cubes. And because fresh fruit spoils too quickly…

Ingredients:
1 banana
5 – 6 strawberries
1/2 a peach, approx 8 slices
1 cup orange juice (100% here folks, no added sugar!)

Directions:

Cut up all of the fruit into bite sized pieces – this is just for the sake of my Magic Bullet whirring it up faster. Cut them up to whatever size your food processor/ blender/ Magic Bullet is akin to.

Add the fruit to the blender. Pour the juice in.

Blend that bad boy til its thoroughly smooth and sip-through-a-straw-able. (That makes sense right?! haha)

Enjoy! I prefer this happy little drink to coffee every morning. (Mostly because I’ve been banned from coffee and that was a long hard struggle, but I’ve grown to be addicted to these. Which is probably a much healthier avenue.) And I love them. I feel good after drinking them. I’ve gotten in at least a couple required servings of fruit for the day. My kids love them too – not so good. 😉 Sometimes they can be real hogs! haha

If you try them, please let me know what you think!
